Stewart J. Hudson, Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation
Stewart J. Hudson is the President of the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation (EHTF), a family foundation based in New Haven, CT. As President, he plays a central role in the management of the Foundation’s $80 million endowment; he works closely with the Board, he supervises all EHTF grant making; and he created and for the past decade has led the Foundation’s program in clean energy and climate protection. He was the founding chair of SmartPower, and currently serves as the founding chair of the Clean Energy Finance Center--he also participates in a number of boards and advisory committees for organizations working at the intersection of energy, environment, and economic development. He began his career as Sr. Legislative Aide to U.S. Senator Lowell P. Weicker, Jr. and from 1986-1998 served in a variety of senior level roles at the National Wildlife Federation. Prior to becoming President of EHTF, he was the Executive Director of the Jane Goodall Institute. He lives in Connecticut with his wife, Jackie, and their two children, Wyatt and Olivia.
